I have a theory for the cover of Breaking Dawn.
I think that the wihite queen in the foreground represents a vampire Bella. The red pawn in the background represents the human friends and family she is leaving behind, as it is usually the queens job to protect the pawn, but the queen is abandoning the pawn. To put it simple, Bella is a vampire and is abandoning her family and friends to be with Edward.
